About Us- Where we play to learn and learn to play!

Welcome to Play and Thrive Academy where we believe all children should have fun while learning. Play is an important part of a child’s development, so we pride ourselves in maintaining a safe and fun learning environment for your child.

Our center focuses on providing care that promotes all domains of development: physical, language, socio-emotional and cognitive. With the focus of care being on promoting all areas of your child’s development in a safe environment, your children will be better prepared for kindergarten.

We are closely following guidance from the CDC, as well as state and local officials and health authorities, as we take extreme precautions to maintain our safe, healthy learning environment.

Overall Guidance

  • Wash hands frequently (e.g., upon arrival, before and after meals, after coming inside, after sneezing) with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Provide easy access to soap and warm water for handwashing for all children and staff.

  • Sick children and staff will be asked to stay home.

  • To stop the spread of germs and control group size, we are asking parents and family members remain in the pickup area of the center only.

Wellness checks

  • We conduct daily health checks.

  • Evaluate temperature checks for staff and children entering the building. Individuals with a fever of 100.0 Fahrenheit or higher, will not be allowed to stay.

  • During the check in process, parents will answer a quick questionnaire.

  • Regular wellness checks are being conducted throughout the day. The parents of unwell children are notified immediately, to help stop the spread of illness.

Cleaning Practices

  • We follow regular cleaning protocols and use an EPA-registered disinfectant daily.

  • We clean and sanitize all toys at the end of the day.

  • We clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces throughout the day.

New Safety Regulations
  • Daily Health Checks

  • Temperature Checks

  • Wash Hands Frequently
